Rare Antique French CARVED WOMAN HEAD WOOD PEDIMENT Architectural Salvage 19Th A stunning and very rare French hand carved decorative pediment from 19th century. The wood (maybe walnut) furniture ornament features a charming decor with head woman. On the sides are carved the heads of chimeras. This pediment was recovered from an old cabinet found in a bedroom with another cabinet bearing a pediment with a man's head (listed separately) These two wardrobes were probably made to be offered at a wedding This wooden fronton would be nice above a doorway or alcove. It has been expertly hand carved. Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description. The French pediment is in good antique condition with some normal signs of ages.

32"30 inch (82 cm) long at the base, by 13" (33 cm) high. Cornice width: 335 (8.5 cm).
